Conservancy Park
This 38 acre former gravel pit was purchased and reclaimed by The Boone Conservancy. Located at 5989 Burlington Pike, Burlington KY, this park is leased by Boone County Parks and is open from dawn to dusk. Park amenities include stocked fishing pond, native plant habitat, picnic shelter and the one mile Lee McNeely Birding Trail.
Camargo Park
Camargo Park is a 127 wooded acre site owned by The Boone Conservancy that adjoins Middle Creek Park. This beautiful property expands the county hiking trail system and the recreational opportunities at Middle Creek Park. Its proximity to the park, Dinsmore Woods, Boone Cliffs Nature Preserve and Conservancy Park make it a vital parcel in connecting the conserved natural lands of Northern Kentucky.
Conservation Easements
As a member of the Land Trust Alliance, The Boone Conservancy is a trusted conservation partner for institutions, agencies and companies restoring the vital streams and wetlands in the area. The Conservancy holds the easements on hundreds of acres of restored land and is the steward of the permament protection of these sites.
The Lee McNeely Birding Trail
With a generous donation from Heritage Bank as a memorial honoring Lee McNeely and with the help of the Northern Kentucky Bird Club, Boone County Conservation District and Boone County Parks, The Boone Conservancy created the Lee McNeely Birding Trail. This one mile trail in Conservancy Park is accompanied by educational bird watching signage throughout the trail.
